Grove City Tune Up

The Chess Enterprise presents the Grove City Tune Up. Each player plays 4 games and has 45 minutes with a 5 second increment each move to complete the game. Tournament has three sections: Premier (1600+), Reserve (U1600) and Discovery (U1200). The playing venue is conveniently located less than 10 minutes southwest from downtown Columbus and close to many restaurants. Please know how to set your clock for increment and how to add time to the clock in case of a time penalty. Boards and sets provided, please bring clocks. Open to all players.

Prizes: $1000 based on 50 paid entries.

• Free early entry for players 2200+, early entry fee deducted from prize. 

Registration:

• Onsite registration is only available on Saturday, 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
• Online registration system  closes at midnight the day before the tournament.
• US Chess rated event. US Chess membership required.

• Bye: One ½-point bye OK for any round, must be requested before the start of round 2.
• Rating: Dual Rated, based on March 2023 Rating Supplement. 
• TD reserves the right to use accelerated Swiss pairings.
• Refund minus a $3 admin fee until the end of registration. 
• Handicap Accessible.
