Myron became fascinated with chess as a teenager after reading Chess in a Nutshell by Fred Reinfeld. In high school he joined the chess club and played casually. After a long absence due to college and starting a family, he picked up the game again after becoming a chess parent. He began playing tournament games, volunteering at tournaments and later became a tournament director and organizer. Myron has directed numerous events, including Chief Tournament Director of the 2022 National Elementary Championship and 2018 National High School Championship. He also serves on several US Chess governance committees.
Myron's favorite part of chess is its ability to bring together players of different ages and backgrounds. "I believe everyone should have the opportunity to play their best game."

Evan has been involved in Ohio chess since the early 2000's starting as a tournament player. He served as an Ohio Chess Association (OCA) Trustee and OCA President for 3 terms. As OCA President, his priority was working to make the membership experience the best it could be and expanding the number of chess events in Ohio.
Evan's favorite part of chess is forming relationships with players and he is thrilled to be a part of The Chess Enterprise team, focusing on player experience. If you have questions or suggestions, look for him at our next event.
"It's easy for me to get along with chess players.
Even though we are all very different, we have chess in common."
